You Know You Need More Books

Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! And all that noise.

I’m excited to be deeply settled into the holiday, which for me is a five-day vacation. And I’m loving every second of it. It’s been a while since I’ve taken several days off and wasn’t expected to go anywhere or work on something. It really is a VACATION.books

Of course, we all know that I’m going to write, but there isn’t this feeling of being on deadline. I get to write at my own pace and I have to admit that I’m looking forward to it. I’ve got this chapter planned where Snow and Andrei finally have an important talk. It’s been brewing for a while and I’m anxious over what’s going to be said.

Other than getting a little writing done, my one major priority is to read. And read and read and read.  I’ve got this crazy stockpile of books on my kindle that I haven’t gotten to yet. Then there’s a stockpile of books that I’ve read and simply want to read again.

Are you like me? Is this your chance to get some reading done?  Or were you lucky enough to get a gift card for the holidays and are trying to figure out what books to get?  Let me help you with your shopping list…

Favorite Books That I’ve Read Recently

Crossroads by Riley Hart –M/M Contemporary Romance — Great characters, sweet. Two people discovering love in an unexpected way.

Promises by Marie Sexton — M/M Contemporary Romance — Rinda told me to read this one and she has yet to steer me wrong. Great book!

Second Hand by Marie Sexton and Heidi Cullinan — M/M Contemporary Romance — This is the second book in the Tucker Springs series but the first one I read. Trust me, this isn’t a series you need to read in order. I gave this one a 5-star rating. I fell hard for the characters, particularly El. I thought there is no way in hell I was going to like him. He’s a very unlikely hero, but watching him fall in love is so awesome and sweet.

In the Middle of Somewhere by Roan Parish — M/M Contemporary Romance — I know I’ve recommended this one before but I keep coming back to it. I think I see something of myself in the main character because I have the same neurotic distrust of people and situations, that feeling that if you let your guard down, everything is going to fall apart while life sucker punches you.

Knowing Caleb by Cameron Dane — M/M Paranormal Romance — I’ll warn you that the paranormal isn’t very heavy in this series but I did fall in love with Caleb and Jake.

We are hoping to have Shatter ready for release in the first quarter of 2016, but we haven’t picked a release date yet.
